Numerous characters and locations in the brand-new Netflix TV series The Sandman were created by Italian artist Andrea Chiampo, who is also the creator of a popular NFT series available on SuperRare.
In particular, Chiampo produced the 3D design for the little dragon named Goldie that makes an appearance in the opening episodes of The Sandman, in addition to the Dreaming realm’s castle, Martin Tenbones the dog, and numerous other locations and characters from the TV show.

Chiampo previously spent more than two years working for Disney and put a lot of time into creating the look of the Netflix series.
Even when Desiderio makes an appearance, in episode 7 titled “A Doll’s House,” Chiampo created the heart-shaped environment in which Desiderio resides.
The Sandman, from which Chiampo drew inspiration for the Netflix series, is based on a comic book written and illustrated by Neil Gaiman in 1989.

The Italian artist took his first steps into the world of non-fungible tokens in April 2021, dropping the piece Genesis onto his SuperRare. Later in September of the same year, he was sold for 5 Ethereum.
Released on SuperRare, the collection is titled “Futured Past” and features illustrations full of symbolism.
The work appears to be created using lithography but is 3D created with programs such as ZBrush, which Andrea uses to create dreamlike creatures and worlds. Rendering and digital using his sculpting.
